Hi, we’re Margarita and David, the owners of Aggie’s Café. Our love for food started long ago, but in 2019, we launched Margarita’s Tacos, our family-run food truck. For four years, we served fresh, flavorful meals with love and purpose.

In 2023, we took the next step and reopened Aggie’s Café in our hometown of Poteet, Texas. Our kids, who grew up in this community and marched in the Poteet Aggie Band, now help us manage and grow the café.

Our menu is inspired by our blended cultures, bringing together comforting flavors and homemade care in every dish. Whether you're here for breakfast, lunch, or a refreshing agua fresca, we hope every meal feels like home.

We are proud to be Aggie Strong — a familia and community working together, one plate at a time.

A Bit of Poteet History

Located in the heart of South Texas, Poteet is a small town with deep roots in agriculture, best known for its sweet, sun-ripened strawberries and the annual Poteet Strawberry Festival that draws visitors from all over. The festival parade passes right in front of Aggie’s Café, making us a perfect spot to enjoy the celebration.

Our café sits across from what was once the old Poteet hospital — the birthplace of legendary country singer George Strait. Today, we’re proud to be part of this town’s rich history, serving up comfort food and hometown hospitality to our community and visitors alike.
